Enjoy a win-win when you order a fresh-grilled brat for lunch and, in doing so, help fund a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Stoney River is hosting a BRATWURST SALE Thursday, August 6, from 11am to 1pm with proceeds from the sale going toward the senior living community’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s team.
Stoney River is selling $4 brat plates that include a brat sandwich, chips and cookie, $3 single brat sandwiches and $1 water bottles. Lunch can be delivered to your door or picked up curbside at the entrance of Stoney River, located at 1204 W. McMillan Street, Marshfield.
Please place your order by Saturday, July 31, by calling 715-207-6523 or emailing Lifestyle Specialist Nikki Lehmann at [email protected].
All proceeds benefit Marshfield’s chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association’s September 12th Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which Stoney River’s team of staff, friends and family is proud to support.
Stoney River’s team is walking to honor and raise money for their Memory Support residents and families. The cause is even more personal for Stoney River’s VIVA! Life Coordinator Val Meddaugh.
“My father fought a 13-year battle with early onset, genetic Alzheimer’s. I am walking in honor of my father, who we lost a year ago in September, and his sister, who now lives at Stoney River’s Memory Support community,” says Meddaugh. “If you can, please support the team’s bratwurst fundraiser.”
Stoney River’s A Knew Day Memory Support residents enjoy comfortable apartment homes, but just outside the door is a community alive with activity, thoughtful conversation and good company. Our wellness team spends a lot of time getting to know each resident’s personality and history to be able to provide truly personalized care. Plus, Stoney River’s purposeful design promotes security, independence and confidence with built-in features that impact residents’ wellbeing.
“I hope there is a cure someday soon and my daughter, Danielle, named after my dad, is the first survivor!” Meddaugh says, adding that “we can’t get there without your help.”
