Enjoy a lovely time with your Valentine or Galentine at Stoney River’s Valentine’s Day Party on Friday, February 14, from 2 to 4pm at the Assisted Living community located at 1204 W. McMillan Street, Marshfield, WI. RSVP to 715-207-6423.
There will be chocolate-dipped strawberries and passion punch served, live entertainment by singer and guitarist Dale Dickerson and the chance to meet those who live at Stoney River and can share their personal experiences about why and how they made a successful transition to senior living.

John and Ruth Joswiak moved to Stoney River last fall.
For example, Ruth and John Joswiak moved to Stoney River this fall from Woodruff, WI, so they could spend less time and effort on home maintenance and more quality time with each other and family. Their timing turned out to be fortunate with John now in the hospital and Ruth able to visit him daily thanks to Stoney River’s courtesy shuttle service.
“Life at Stoney River has been so easy and convenient,” says Ruth, who adds that she is thankful to be able to see her hubby of 65 years, John, without having to bother her nearby daughter for a ride and for being able to enjoy a hot meal in the dining room with friends and neighbors while he is away.
Valentine Party guests can discover, like Ruth did, what kind of benefits Stoney River may have in store for them today and in the future. Tours of Stoney River’s model companion suite will be offered along with information on how living with a spouse or friend can be affordable and practical, especially if each person requires a different level of care.
Stoney River is currently offering a lovely move-in special. Couples who move to a companion suite by March 15, 2020, will get half off their first month’s rent, which is over a $3,000 savings!
Ruth advises moving sooner than later, so you can enjoy time with your loved one while giving your family peace of mind. She also offers this advice for a long and happy marriage: “always be close and loving to each other.”
Trust Ruth, as she and John met on a blind date and have been nearly inseparable for more than 60 years. Through their marriage, they enjoyed lifelong careers, Ruth as a nurse and John with the DNR, raising four children, being involved with church and the American Legion Hall, golfing, time at the lake and post-retirement winters in Florida and Texas. Today their love story continues at Stoney River, where they have time for what’s most important, each other, their four children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
